A scientific and human perspective on ecological change.

QUYFIN was co-founded by Philippos Vardakas, a media professional and documentary filmmaker working on social and scientific issues, and Solenn Patalano, a molecular biologist with long-standing field research expertise in insect behaviour.

QUYFIN emerged from this complementarity, with the aim of bringing scientific research closer to the people, practices and landscapes it concerns. Their different backgrounds shape the way the observatory works, combining field research, scientific methods, communication and engagement.

Together, they bring both scientific and human perspectives to how ecological change is observed, understood and communicated.
